So this year I had the opportunity to change my doctor, we only get to do this once a year so it is important to pick one that we really want. I decided to go to the doctor that my husband has been seeing and his mom goes there as well. I was unhappy with my other doctor because I keep getting this infection and my lymph nodes are swollen all the time and this doctor would just give me antibiotics and the problem persisted over a few months. I figured if she was not going to find out what was wrong with me to cure me it was time to make a switch.

I get to my new doctor and explain to her that the reason that I switched was because my other doctor would just give me antibiotics and never find the root of the problem and send me on my way. She said that she totally understood where I was coming from and gave me antibiotics and sent me on my way, but this time she had me get an x-ray to see if she could see anything. The x-ray did not show her anything I guess, so my next visit she just gave me antibiotics again. The antibiotics do get rid of the problem, but only for a couple of weeks and then it comes back again. I have been to my new doctor at least 6 times for this problem now, and she has not given me an answer or sent me for any more tests.

I am so frustrated because I just don’t have any clue why my lymph nodes keep doing this, and I would really like to cure it for good rather than just for a couple of weeks. I cannot change my doctor again for another year, and I just have no idea what to do! I asked her to send me to an ear nose and throat specialist with no avail. I am so confused, frustrated, and tired of all of this. Why can’t I find a good doctor?
