I am pretty stoked that my parents are going to be here for Thanksgiving. I do not get to see them very much and it is pretty important for me for them to be here on the holidays. I am going to be the only kid left here as soon as my brother leaves, so my mom said next year she might have to send my husband and I to Florida, like I would complain! I am really excited though because Thanksgiving is always nice and the food is always great.

It is weird I actually got a few Halloween cards in the mail this year, like people are sending them out like Christmas cards now or something. I feel like I should send some back, but it is too late to get them there on time. I will have to remember who all sent me a card this year and send them one next year. My mom sent me one that was really cute, it had a purple people eater on the front and when you opened it the card played the song purple people eater. These cards cost about $1.50 to send though!

Every single time I eat KFC I end up getting sick and so I figured that it was the chicken that messes me up every time.  My favorite things from KFC are biscuits, gravy, macaroni, and the mashed potatoes so I just decided to order that tonight and I still got messed up.  I am now blaming the potatoes, so I am going to try just macaroni and cheese and buscits next time to see if I get sick again.  I’m just bummed because it is one of my favorite things to eat!

So I went to see the ENT again on Monday because the antibiotics were not really helping to take the infection down and he said that I needed to go to the hospital.  I was really freaked out because I hate hospitals a lot.  I went there and they gave me IV antibiotics and did a slew of tests on me only to not be able to figure out what the problem is.  They wanted to keep me at the hospital for about 5 days, but my health plan doesn’t cover that so I had to decline.  I am now in limbo just trying to get referrals for the tests that I need to have done now, and I am very sick of all of this red tape!

I went to see the ear nose and throat specialist about a week and a half ago and he says that my lymph nodes keep getting swollen because I get stones in my salivary glands.  The bad thing is he never said how to take care of it other than a hot compress and massaging my neck when I can feel it coming on.  I feel it coming on today and I did that, but it does not seem to help at all.  I am very disappointed because I thought that I might actually have my problem fixed.

My husband has always loved zombies and it seems like all of a sudden they have gotten really popular. This is good and bad because now it is much easier for me to find gifts for him, but I think he is a little angry that they have become so commercialized now. I hope they put out some new good movies to go along with the all of a sudden influx of interest!

So last summer my dog decided that it would be a good idea to try to pounce on the mail lady through the window and she broke my double pane glass. Only the first pane is broken, but you can feel that around that window is actually colder than it should be because of the glass being gone. I have not had the money to go out and buy a new window, but I have to do something before this winter because it is so bad for the energy bill. When I do get new windows I would like to get casement windows put in place of these, but I am trying to find something that would cover them so that my dog cannot break the windows again. I was thinking about even maybe putting up a baby gate vertically over them.

I know that I need a window replacement before November or so, and I need to start shopping in order to find exactly what I am looking for. I really like Andersen windows so I will probably go with those, but I have to find something to keep the dog off before I spend money on new windows!
