I started taking the shot again about six months ago, and I feel like I have gained all of my weight back since. I went to my doctor about it, and she put me on some birth control pills, and she said that I can skip the placebo pills, and just move on to the next pack so that I can actually skip periods. I become a pretty bad monster during that time of month, so that will help the waters stay calm in my house.
